About - Mark Dunlap Photography

Images, both with motion (I love movies, especially the cinematography) and motionless, have held my attention since I was a kid. Before I entered high school, I was running around snapping images with a little Kodak Pocket Instamatic camera, not with very good results, but I had fun. During my junior year in high school, I was introduced to 35mm cameras and by my senior year had purchased my own 35mm, with plenty of bells and whistles and started my photographic journey in earnest.

Not too long ago, I had a nice website, with a wide display of my images. But it was costing me hundreds of dollars a year, and finally deciding I couldn’t justify the cost compared to the amount of professional shooting I was doing, shut it down, thinking I would quickly set up a less expensive site. Here it is, several years later, and I’ve finally come up with that new site.

Anyone who views my images will see I have a wide variety of tastes. I love images, whatever the subject matter, and although I frequently question the quality of my work, enough people have complimented my efforts over the years to prompt me to keep putting up examples.

I hope people can find some viewing pleasure in my images. In the meantime, I’ll keep shooting.
